26 - 28 Oct 2018
Cobar NSW 2835
WHAT IS THIS ALL FOR?
The intent of the Running On Empty Festival was / is and has always been been to raise funds in order to build a WWI Monument for Cobar.
At the moment we are at a Quarter of the way to our target goal.
The popularity of this Festival has been nothing short of over-whelming and myself, the committee and the community wait with bated breath for next week.
With this is mind, once the Dinner has completed on the Saturday Evening at Cobar Bowling and Golf Club, the doors will open to everyone to participate in the auction and be entertained by the one and only Typhoon.
There will be no cover charge for admission, only a donation bucket at the front door.
I hope that everyone can appreciate the sacrifice that 60,000 made for us, the pain 150,000 endured and the devotion that 416,809 Australians gave for all in the First World.
Cobar is a proud Township and rightly deserves a monument naming those that preserved our way of life.
This has always been and will continue to be my impetus until completion.
Thank you all for your support and am very much looking forward to seeing you all.
- Benny Hewlett
